Your admission fee goes toward hall rental, refreshments and kitchen supplies, sound equipment, and other items beneficial to the Keith Anderson Community House. While fee monies are helpful, donations are also a valuable part of our fundraising efforts to further coffeehouse goals.
For example, just this March, 2008, we purchased a new Fishman guitar preamp/direct box for guitars with weak and passive electronics. We also purchased two new, metal Tama mike stands to replace broken ones, six new 1/4 inch jack guitar cables to add to those we already have, a new Shure SM58 mike, and (finally) four plastic Staples cable boxes to organize our Dadgad closet. This definitely makes our soundman happier!
Your continuously strong attendance over the years has also resulted in our ability to purchase monitors (speakers that enable artists to hear what they are performing on stage), a 16 channel board, a power supply to power the main and monitor speakers, and a 20 channel audio snake (a long braid of cables enabling the sound system to operate from the rear of hall).
Wish list
- CD player to run music through the sound system.
- Equipment repair (for the board, power supply, snake, etc.)
- A marquee for the outside of the Community House
- A good resident guitar/bass amp
Volunteers
Volunteers are an important part of this community effort. Those with background in stage lighting, set design, and sound systems are always needed and greatly appreciated.
